How Kamu uses Google data

A focused explanation of Sign in with Google, optional Google Workspace connections, and Google's Limited Use requirements.

Sign in with Google is separate from Google Workspace access

Using Sign in with Google generally provides the Google account identifier, email address, email-verification status, and, if you permit it, basic profile details used to authenticate you and create or link your Kamu account. It does not, by itself, give Kamu access to Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, calendar, or other Google Workspace content.

Connecting Gmail or Google Drive is optional. Kamu requests additional permissions only when you choose a feature that needs them, and Google's authorization screen identifies the requested permissions before you grant access.

How optional Google Workspace data is used

Gmail read access

Used only to find, summarize, organize, or use email information in a workflow you request.

Gmail compose or send access

Used to create a draft or send a message only when you request or confirm that action.

Google Drive access

Used to find, open, summarize, organize, attach, or use a file in a workflow you request, subject to the permission shown by Google.

Connection records

Authorization tokens, granted scopes, expiry information, and identifiers are used to maintain and secure the connection you authorized.

Kamu’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Kamu does not use, transfer, or permit the use of Google Workspace API data to create, train, or improve generalized, foundation, frontier, or other cross-user artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. Google Workspace data is used only to perform the user-facing action specifically requested by the user.

Kamu does not use Google Workspace API data for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, insurance eligibility, or sale to data brokers. Human access is prohibited except where you expressly request support, access is necessary for security or abuse investigation, access is required by law, or properly aggregated and de-identified operational access is permitted under Google's policies.

Third-party AI processing

Before a requested feature sends selected Google content to an external AI provider, Kamu presents an in-context disclosure and obtains your affirmative permission. The content is limited to what is needed for the requested action. If you decline, that external processing does not occur. Refusing this optional permission does not revoke Sign in with Google or unrelated features.

Disconnect or delete Google data

Disconnect Google in Kamu's Connected Accounts settings to stop new access.
Optionally revoke Kamu in your Google Account security settings.
Use Kamu's deletion controls or the public account-deletion request to request deletion of Kamu-held data.
